For most everyday spills and stains we recommend wiping or spot cleaning with a clean, white cloth (or sponge) dampened in a solution of warm water and dish washing liquid; just make sure that it doesn't contain any bleach or lanolin.

^† Machine Wash

Machine wash at 30º using a liquid detergent, right-way out (as opposed to inside-out) and fully zipped up. Hang to dry naturally. We recommend not machine washing your Faux Suede and Soft Animal Print covers more than 5 or 6 times in their lifetime, as it may start to wear out the back coating. You’ll actually find that most spills and stains can be treated by spot cleaning, without the need for a machine wash. There is a Bean2Bed Faux Suede Sofa in our office that has been used every day since 2005, and in 6 years has only required one machine wash!

Cord and Denim covers can be machine washed as often as you like, but like any fabric to minimise the colours fading over time you may want to spot clean more often than machine wash.
