July 2011: Bean2Bed Donates to Edward’s Trust, Birmingham

We are delighted to have given a King Bean2Bed bean bag to a wonderful local Birmingham children’s charity called the Edward’s Trust.

The Edward’s Trust provides life changing bereavement, support, and complementary therapies to children and parents who have experienced sudden, unexpected deaths within the family.

“I wondered if you could pass on my thanks for the new bean bag which is now in the Multi-sensory room. Even in the short space of time I have had it, quite a few of the kids I see have ‘tested it out’ and said how comfortable it is!

As you know the sensory room is of great value to the work that we do here at Edwards Trust. Sometimes a child may come to a session feeling angry, stressed, nervous, etc. When this is the case, the room offers a pleasant environment in which to work with a child. It also provides a separate, relaxing area, which can ‘counter’ many of the feelings mentioned above. Therefore, it has many therapeutic benefits and it’s a vital resource when working towards a positive outcome for ‘our’ service users.

Many thanks again!"
